Weight loss tips and how to set goals for weight loss
As all bodies are not the same so there is no single formula for weight loss. But yes there are some basic habits that everyone needs to take into consideration when starting their journey.
The good part is that we all know that what to do, but I think "How" is what we need to figure it out.
3 things to keep in mind
a) Avoid Eating Packaged food- It can be avoided by not keeping it at home, because our will power works up to a certain limit and if there is packaged food at home then there are higher chances of eating it.
b) Avoid Sugar- again use the simple hack don't keep sweets at home.
c) Increase protein and fibre in your meals and reduce carbohydrates- Before every meal try to keep a flow, first have fibre(salad) then protein(Egg White, Paneer etc.) and then carbohydrates.
Goal Setting for Weight Loss
We can think it in 3 ways-
1. Outcome Based- For example reducing 10 kgs in 3 months.(This might cause stress)
2. Process Based- For example going to gym 3 times a week. ( More prone to hitting snooze button)
3. Identity Based- Here we can think of that "I will live like world's best athlete" when we start saying this to us everyday, gradually we start making better food choices.
Think of it as a journey but not as a destination, making better food choices and staying active will increase longevity and keep you happy.
